Ethiopia - Urabeast

from £13.80
  • Process: Washed

  • Varietal: Heirloom

  • Taste Notes: Apricot, elderflower, poached pear

In an ever more confusing mess of co-ferms and jargon, Ethiopian producers are over here reminding us that sometimes traditional practices trump all.

For me, some alchemy happens when indigenous heirloom varietals that grow wild in Ethiopia come together with generations of local knowledge of coffee processing and minimal interference, and this Grade 1 Guji is case and point.

This coffee is zingy and complex with plenty of Apricot. There’s for sure a hoppiness in there too.

This is coffee in its most honest and delicious form!
